CSICon’s Halloween Party: Use Psychic Powers, Dress Funny, Win Cash!
September 12, 2012
Skeptics are excellent at using their brains, but all that thinking can be exhausting. Luckily, at this year’s CSICon -- the conference dedicated to science and skeptical inquiry -- there’s going to be a way for the doubters to let their hair down, and win some truly excellent prizes.
CSICon 2012 in Nashville will be host to the nerdiest Halloween party on this planet -- and likely any other. MC’d by Rebecca Watson, this costumed hoedown will surely be a night to remember (and then later deny).
And of course, there will be prizes!
He or she who dons the outfit deemed Best Costume by our judges will win $200 and free registration for next year’s conference! To make it even more interesting, there will also be a prize for Best Skeptically Themed Costume: $100 plus free registration to the next conference.
Oh, but that’s not all. Our boss Ron had one more brilliant idea for a special Halloween party contest. Click below to watch this short video to see what we’re talking about.
That’s right. If you can guess the costume that will be worn by Center for Inquiry President and CEO Ronald A. Lindsay, you too shall win $100 and admission to next year’s Halloween party.
To enter the contest to guess Ron’s costume, you must be a paid, registered attendee of CSICon (we’ll check). Send your guess/psychic prediction to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject heading “Ron’s Costume.” Ron himself will decide which guess comes the closest to his eventual disguise. One entry per person, please.
So what are you waiting for? Stop reading this, register right now for CSICon, and then start gathering up your latex, glow-in-the-dark makeup, and funny hats. Halloween in Music City awaits!
