 I'm looking for any information on the interaction (or lack thereof) of
 scientific medicine and alternative medical practices, including but not
 limited to official medical policy on the use of alternative practices by
 scientifically-trained physicians.  I am a graduate student in Sociology,
 working in the area of the Sociology of Belief Systems, investigating the
 area of ideological conflict between science and pseudo-science.  I am an
 avid reader of SI, and have been for about 3 years, and I wouldn't be
 surprised if I show up looking to work directly for CSICOP one of these
 days.
        Any references will be helpful in continuing my investigations.
