Dear Fellow Skeptic:

A couple of weeks ago I posted a message informing the list that CSICOP and
Skeptical Inquirer magazine Founder and Chairman Paul Kurtz had undergone
open-heart surgery. The operation was performed on December 4. According to
his doctors the operation went very well and he came out of it in very good
condition. We were told that he would be out of the hospital in 5-6 days.

I wanted to update you on his condition. It is now almost two-weeks since the
surgery and Paul still hasn't been released from the hospital. We are not
sure when that will be. Paul has told me that he is feeling well and that the
doctors are running additional tests and being very cautious.

Paul also told me that he very much appreciates the large volume of cards,
flowers, and best wishes he has received from fellow skeptics.

If you'd like to send along your good wishes you can do so at either of these
addresses:

Paul Kurtz
Buffalo General Hospital
100 High Street
Buffalo, NY 14203

or to our office at:

Paul Kurtz
CSICOP/Skeptical Inquirer
PO Box 703
Amherst, NY 14226-0703

I think it would be great if we could get out a flood of cards, etc., for
him.

Sincerely,

Barry Karr
Executive Director, CSICOP
